Our airport has two runways which helps reduce delays and makes for better separation of larger and faster aircraft from the training activity, adding to safety.

We are located in the center of the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles, giving us shelter from the often present marine layer that makes coastal airports unusable during much of the day. While most of your training flights at a coastal airport in the early mornings and late afternoons are cancelled, Van Nuys airport reports clear and visual conditions, safe for your flight training and ideal to learn a skill that depends so much on safety.
